Each day between now and the end of October, Tee’d Off Tee Times will list each of the Top 12 Golf Courses in the Cancun/Riviera Maya destination.
The criteria we use is not scientific and the difference between 12 and 1 is really not that much. Personal preference, prestige in playing, designer, course design and layout, course conditioning and guest service were all taken into consideration.
Coming in at #12 is Cozumel Country Club. This Nicklaus Design Group course is one of the oldest in the area, opening in 2001. One of Cozumel’s biggest claims to fame is it became the first golf course in Mexico to earn the designation of Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary from Audubon International.
This golf course has been carefully crafted from the surrounding mangrove marshlands and tropical rainforest to preserve its environmental integrity, as well as providing attractive challenges for players of every skill level.
