Each day between now and the end of October, Tee’d Off Tee Times will list each of the Top 12 Golf Courses in the Cancun/Riviera Maya destination.
The criteria we use is not scientific and the difference between 12 and 1 is really not that much. Personal preference, prestige in playing, designer, course design and layout, course conditioning and guest service were all taken into consideration.
Coming in at #8 is Playacar Golf Club. Playacar was designed and constructed under the supervision of famous golf course architect Robert Von Hagge in 1995. This magnificent Golf Course, par 72 with a distance of 7,144 yards, surrounded by a diversity of lakes and exuberant vegetation, is considered the most challenging Course of the Region, especially the long, narrow front nine.
Located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, just south of downtown Playa in the Playacar residential and hotel area, the club provides a first class practice area, complete with a spectacular driving range, and a large putting green including chipping, pitching, and greenside bunker areas.
Playacar also offers an ”All Inclusive” system offers food and beverage at the club house and snacks along the course.
