Way To Go Phil!

Teed Off Tee Times favourite PGA Tour lefty Phil Mickelson (sorry Bubba and Weirsy) just about made tour history yesterday, lipping out his birdie putt on 18 in his attempt to shoot the elusive “59”.  Phil finished with an 11-under par 60 after yesterday’s first round of the Waste Management Open at TPC Scottsdale. WM Phoenix Open - Round One Lefty was attempting to become the 6th golfer in PGA Tour history to shoot 59. Only Al Geiberger (the original Mr. 59), Chip Beck, David Duval, Paul Goydos and Stuart Appleby have  managed to shoot 59 in tournament play on the PGA Tour. Today’s weather forecast for Scottsdale is calling for very little wind. Will we see someone put together another low round and challenge the elusive 59 this morning when the greens will be the softest and the smoothest?  Maybe a left-handed Masters Champion?
